reused and redone
It is that time of year again around my town. Nope, I am not talking about football season again. It's time for all those consignment sales! YAY!!! I am a girl who LOVES a good bargain. My husband has jokingly told me we could go broke over my bargains. One thing I have learned at these children's consignment sales is to have an open mind and think outside of the box. And that is exactly what I did. I first spotted this little dress during the "sneak peak" sale (That means the first day the sale is only open to people who have consigned their own clothes) It had a big brown monogram on it that was NOT my daughters... nor was it one of my 4 (soon to be 5!!) niece's initials. So I put it back, disappointed that I couldn't put it to use, after all, it was the perfect fall dress. Fast forward to two days later. I found myself back at the sale (hey, it was half off day!). That dress was still there and YAHOO! it was half off. My wheels quickly started turning. I knew I could either remove the old monogram (yuck, too time consuming) or I could just cover it up with an applique. And that is what I did! Now Miss E has herself a halloween dress... for a whopping $5!
